Free Event Honors Mothers and Fosters Strong Relationships
Raleigh, N.C. — February 21, 2007 — In an effort to reach women and honor the bond between mothers and daughters, Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Wake County (HMHB) will host its third annual Mother-Daughter Banquet on March 31.
"Mothers are the backbone of our community," says Mary Jordan, executive director of HMHB. "They are the chefs, chauffeurs, guidance counselors, nurturers and friends that keep us going day to day. It is time to honor these marvelous women that are so vital to our families and to our community."
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are required to RSVP by 5 p.m. on March 23. Guests will enjoy a banquet dinner, guest speakers, door prizes, awards and the company of great women in an uplifting atmosphere. Childcare will also be provided at no cost.
"Our goal with the banquet is to encourage, build and support strong relationships—something that we deeply value at Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies," says Jordan.
Those interested in sponsoring the event or registering as a guest, can visit HMHB's Web site www.hmhm-nc.org or call 919-838-1488x110.
